The Captain Guesthouse had clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds and nice bedding. The location was ideal, with pubs just around the corner. The owner was friendly and helpful, even calling ahead to advise about parking for the cycling event in the city. The guesthouse was conveniently located close to the train station and main attractions, but far enough away to avoid noise. we had a pleasant stay.

We loved the location of this guesthouse, right in the centre of town and within a short walk to the railway station and bus services. It was also surprisingly peaceful and not noisy at night. The rooms were spacious, clean, and provided a fantastic view of the nearby castle. The owner was very helpful and polite, making our stay even better. The guesthouse also had great facilities including a cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave, and fan. It was conveniently close to shops, bars, and places to eat, as well as being just a 10-minute walk from the beach.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional, with everything spotless and tidy. The hotel facilities were excellent, including a powerful shower and a huge, comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a few yards from the main shopping area of the city, making it convenient for exploring and shopping. Additionally, the hotel offered parking at a very affordable rate, which was a great convenience for those driving.

The Captain Guesthouse was an excellent choice for our stay in this city. The best aspects were the convenient location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The hotel was really close to the town centre, making it easy for us to explore the shops and attractions. The room was spacious and clean, and the powerful shower was a pleasant surprise. The owners were accommodating and helped us with parking, which was both easy and affordable. We especially appreciated the kitchen facilities, including a fridge, cooker, and microwave, as well as a small dining table and chairs in our room. This made our stay even more convenient, considering breakfast was not provided. great value for money!
